Pastor: Jason Porter

Pastor Porter started Gospel Light Baptist Church in October 2002.  He is married to Stephanie Porter and they have two handsome young boys, Nathaniel (8) and Jarred (6).  He was called to preach at 18, and followed the leading of God to attend college at Commonwealth Baptist College in 2001.  One year later, he moved back to Ashland and started Gospel Light Baptist Church.  Pastor Porter absolutely loves people.  He truly cares for the individual and their needs.  He preaches the Bible and it's truths and is not ashamed of it.  His labor in love and dedication to this work is evident at this church.  The Lord has blessed the church with nine fruitful years of souls saved, lives changed, and stronger families.  God is certainly working on the lives of Gospel Light Baptist Church!
